The talented Claire (the Irish half of Cocoon Sauna) is offering a variety of massages in a beautiful wooden wagon walking distance from Dunfanaghy's main street.

Claire has been practicing massage therapy for years and is excited to be able to bring her talents to the Cocoon family.

With ITEC Certifications in Holistic Massage, Sports Massage, Reflexology and Skincare, and a personalized approach to each session, we hope to provide the ultimate in relaxation with lasting results.

Holistic Massage

This is a soothing, flowing massage to help destress and relax your body and your mind. I use Swedish massage techniques to induce relaxation and to smooth out the knots of life. With the help of flowing strokes, hot towels and essential oils I will try and bring the body back into balance leaving you feeling calm, peaceful and restored.

60 Minutes: €60

75 Minutes: €65

Deep Tissue

This treatment works deeply into the muscles and connective tissues to relieve muscle tension and knots. I use Swedish and Sports Massage techniques to encourage blood flow and healing to injured or overworked tissue. Some stretches may also be incorporated into the treatment. This treatment will also induce relaxation through the release of tension from the areas that the stress is held in the body.

Indian Head Massage

This treatment begins with a back, neck and shoulders massage using Swedish massage techniques to relieve tension and work through some knots while relaxing the body. I then move up to the head, massaging both the face and the scalp, which both can hold a lot of tension. By pressing on pressure points tension can be relieved and energy can flow freely. This treatment can help those with sinus issues, migraines, headaches, jaw tension. or an overactive mind. It is a deeply relaxing and soothing experience which leaves you feeling nurtured.

Reflexology

On the soles of our feet is a map of our body. Each reflex point corresponds with a point in the body. By applying pressure to these points we can bring about healing. In a reflexology session I work through the map applying pressure to each reflex point. It benefits all of the systems- skeletal, muscular, lymphatic, respiratory, endocrine, cardiovascular, nervous, digestive and reproductive. It rebalances the body and induces deep relaxation. This is a gentle and nourishing treatment.
